Scanned documents have lines running through them or look dirty

Whenever we scan things in using our scanner, there are lines all over the page.

This usually means the glass is dirty, depending how you use your scanner, do you scan by opening the lid and placing documents on the glass or do you use the top feeder?  This solution works for both options.

1 - open the lid and you will see the glass plate, now look to the left or right side of the glass, Do you see a small strip of glass?

2 - using glass cleaner only, and kitchen type paper towels,  clean the large glass plate and then the small strip of glass, then drying with a clean paper towel.

3 - Important: only spray the glass cleaner on the paper towel and not on the glass inside the scanner

This should solve lines in scans or dirty looking scans
